Thanksgiving Feast 2016: This year our annual Thanksgiving Feast will be held on November 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Contact the leasing office for more details.

Meet and Greet Shirdell Sellman: In October, our new manager Shirdell, introduced herself to the residents. Forty-five residents attended. Shirdell talked about her professional history and expressed her enthusiasm for joining the management team. Residents had the opportunity to ask her questions regarding the property and to express any concerns that they had. Light refreshments were served.

Senior Safety Seminar: Prince George’s County Sheriff Elect Melvin C. High came in October to talk to residents about senior safety. About forty residents attended.

Halloween Party: In October, twenty-five residents attended this special event. Management provided hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, fruit salad, cheese, crackers, and drinks. Residents contributed many varieties of pies and cakes. Shalini provided 3 decorations that transformed the community room into a cool and spooky celebration. The residents enjoyed listening to and dancing to a great variety of music provided by our expert musician/DJ Mr. Lincoln Ross. There was a costume contest and a dance contest and six residents won a gift card to Walmart. Everybody had a great time. Ten residents helped to set up and clean up.

Flu Clinic: In September, Maxim Health Systems provided flu shots for those who signed up.

Jewelry Show: Alikeh Jackson from Paparazzi came in September to showcase her jewelry to the residents. About fifteen residents attended. Alikeh will return to the property in November and December.

Fish Fry and Crab Feast: In September, forty residents and twenty guests attended. Management provided two and a half bushels of crabs and chicken. The Tenant Association provided fish and sides. Residents enjoyed meeting with new and old neighbors and other members of the broader community.

Annual Luau: In August, fifty residents enjoyed festive décor, music, and great food including hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, chicken wings, potato salad, fruit salad and punch. Benita, Patrice, and Garland helped with grilling hot dogs/hamburgers. Five Camp Fire Teens arrived one hour prior to help out with set up and decorating. They also helped tremendously with the games. Residents had a great time playing all the Carnival games including goldfish ping pong, bottle ring toss, toilet paper toss, and more. Game after game had a long line of residents waiting to play. There was plenty of laughter and 6 residents won a $15 gift card to Walmart. A DJ provided music. Six residents helped with setting up, preparing the food and clean up.
